    Summary:
    Treehouse's mission is to combat climate change through our business lines, including the wind farms we own, debt-financing we provide for the development of renewable energy projects, and equity investments in decentralized sustainable infrastructure.

    Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the IT Systems Administrator is a hands-on, critical position that ensures the reliability, performance, and security of our technological infrastructure, from the office to wind parks. You'll support a dynamic team working across renewable energy projects, from desktop support to server management and software solutions in a predominantly Mac environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Infrastructure Management: Manage internal infrastructure including computers, servers, printers, phones, across their lifecycle. Perform regular software and security updates. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize hardware and software systems to ensure seamless operations.

    • Security & Compliance: Conduct regular security audits, manage user permissions, and ensure adherence to best practices and security protocols. Maintain IT policies and procedures, and ensure compliance across the organization.

    • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to understand business needs, delivering IT solutions that align with company and project goals. Assist with data analytics and provide technical solutions to improve team productivity and optimize assets, including using scripting and programming for task automation.

    • Vendor & Inventory Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, coordinate hardware and software services, and track IT inventory to ensure all systems are up-to-date and within budget.

    • Other: Maintain knowledge of technology and cybersecurity innovations and trends. Assist with onboarding and training. Perform additional administrative tasks as requested or assigned by management, including presentation preparation, keeping dashboards updated, and assisting with external file shares.

    Relationship, Interdependency, Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Coordinating and supervising the completion of office work or maintenance performed by IT vendors.

    • Building and maintaining IT vendor relationships.

    • Independent work with minimal supervision.

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field preferred.

    Experience:

    • At least 4 years of experience as an IT systems administrator or in a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced, tech-driven environment (e.g., renewable energy, startups, etc.)

    • Experience in project management and troubleshooting complex IT incidents.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical team members across departments, including explaining complex issues in easy to understand ways. Comfortable with producing and maintaining documentation.

    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to address complex IT incidents and ensure system reliability.

    • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines and quality expectations independently. Organized and excellent with follow-up.

    • Technical Abilities: Proficient in MacOS and Windows environments. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with VMware, security protocols, and scripting languages. Able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies as needed for the role.

    Language Requirements:
    Excellent written and verbal proficiency in professional business English.

    Travel Requirements:
    Willingness to spend five percent of working hours traveling locally for tasks related to obligations.Physical Requirements:
    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
